3. Applications of the Renold Heavy Duty Drag Chains:
The heavy duty drag chain is designed for applications subjected to severe abrasion and extreme temperatures. For example, it is used in hot clinker and lime drag conveyors running up to 1000°F. To enhance longevity, this series of chains are manufactured with specially inducted hardened pins and undergo special heat treatment. To provide greater slip resistance, both sides of the chain feature a hard-faced weld bead.
