2. Characteristics of KTR Cardan Couplings G-GD

– Manufacturer brand: KTR/Germany.
– Maximum Speed = 1,000 revolutions per minute (rpm)
– Maximum Misalignment Angle = 45° per coupling
– Maximum Bore Diameter = 50 mm
– Maximum Angular Compensation = 45° per coupling
– The Precisiom joint G-GD consists of a central joint hub and two yokes connected by straps. The bearings of the coupling ends are made of plain bearings with precise G and GD designs. The plain bearings of type G and GD limit the maximum allowable speed to 1,000 rpm. The maximum misalignment angle of the drive shaft on each coupling is 45°.
– The bearings allow for precise compensation of angular misalignment. Additionally, double joints with two trunnions can compensate for radial displacement. Extended couplings compensate for axial displacement in addition to angular and radial displacement.
