3. Features of the HTD Metric Belt Drives
Like traditional belts, Cross Morse HTD metric belt drives feature a fiberglass tensile member wound in a helical pattern across the belt width. The fiberglass reinforcement ensures length stability, high durability, and resistance to multiple bending cycles.
HTD timing belts have a tooth root notch to enhance meshing with pulleys by deforming the tooth root, allowing precise contour matching between the tooth and the pulley groove, reducing frictional wear. The notch also allows air to escape, reducing noise.
The high-quality rubber compound is resistant to aging and exhibits high resistance to oil, ozone, and high-temperature environments. Additionally, the belts are self-lubricating.
