1. Learn about Roflex-SH shaft couplings:

Roflex-SH or Roflex flexible couplings is a flexible coupling line specifically used to connect the motor shaft to the load shaft. They transmit torque effectively while absorbing vibrations and shaft misalignment during operation.
The outstanding features of this coupling line are the ability to work in harsh environments, high rotational speeds and the ability to transmit torque up to 1,800 Nm.

2. Roflex-SH shaft coupling structure:

Roflex-SH couplings are designed with 3 main components, ensuring efficiency, reducing torsional vibration, flexibility and durability in operation:

2.1. Two metal hubs:

The two ends of Roflex couplings are two hubs made of cast iron, these hubs are separated through cracks. This design is also called a half-shell coupling, clamp coupling, coupling with split shaft or elastic coupling with split clamp shaft.

2.2. Rubber Elements (Elastomers):

The damping component of Roflex-SH is made of T-PUR rubber (polyurethane) and NBR rubber with high elasticity, helping to reduce vibration and effectively withstand torsional loads. The rubber is installed between the two hubs of the coupling, both as a force transmission bridge and as an element that protects the system from impact and shaft misalignment.
The rubber can be replaced without re-aligning the coupling/motor. The number of rubbers installed for Roflex-SH is 6 to 10 rubbers per set.

2.3. Installation accessories:

In addition to two cast iron hubs and coupling damping rubber, Roflex-SH can also be easily assembled and disassembled through 4 bolts and nuts

3. Operating principle of the Roflex-SH flexible coupling:

The tooth structure combined with the middle ring allows the flexible Roflex-SH coupling to transmit force effectively without slipping. At the same time:
– Minimize torsional vibration and vibration from the engine.
– Compensate for shaft misalignment: axial misalignment, eccentricity and angular misalignment.
– Absorb impact force, protect other machine parts in the system.
– Operate stably at high speeds (up to 7500 rpm).
